Cancer is one of the world’s most powerful killers and will touch each and every one of us in our lifetime. It knows no borders and sees no color, race, religion, age or socioeconomic demographic. It is a global issue in need of support from a worldwide network. Through innovative concerts and climbs, LHSF will be providing critical funding for cancer centers worldwide so that ALL people have access to quality treatment and are given the best chance at survival.

Love Hope Strength Foundation (LHSF) is an international charity with chapters in the US, UK and Australia. Founded by leukemia survivors Mike Peters of the Welsh rock band the Alarm and President of CSI Entertainment James Chippendale with the goal of providing all cancer patients with the same opportunities that they had, including access to information, quality cancer treatment and the best medication available.

Mike Peters is known primarily as lead singer and songwriter of internationally acclaimed Welsh rock and roll band, The Alarm. He is also a cancer survivor two times over. Mike has successfully fought The Big C on two occasions; once in 1995 when he battled Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and more recently in 2006 when he was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocyte Leukemia (CLL). Throughout a six month spell of high dose chemotherapy, Mike Peters continued to play and perform with his band The Alarm, taking to the stage each time in his trademark 'green' combat fatigues (which became his health talisman after a faith healer gave him the revelation that 'green' was the healing color in his life).

Mike Peters subsequently led The Alarm back into the U.K. Top 30 in February, with the stomping 'Superchannel' and orchestrated the international release of 'Under Attack' (The Alarm's most recent album), to worldwide critical acclaim.

"Mike Peters – On the Road to Recovery", a revealing BBC documentary chronicling Mike’s inspiring story, was screened in October 2006. The cameras were allowed into the treatment and dressing rooms of Mike's life throughout the last six months of his cancer fight. The filming also included Mike and his wife Jules in their successful struggle to conceive a child through IVF. Evan Michael Peters was born January 1, 2007.

Mike Peters formed The Alarm in Rhyl, North Wales, in 1981 and has led the band to hit records in each of the three decades since: 16 UK hit singles (68 Guns, Where Were You Hiding When The Storm Broke, Spirit Of '76, Rain In The Summertime, 45 R.P.M. etc.), and a host of successful albums with over 5 million sales worldwide. Mike Peters has appeared with or been joined on stage by such rock and roll luminaries as U2, Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

James Chippendale is president of CSI Entertainment Insurance, one of the country's largest entertainment and sports insurance brokers and has worked on events featuring some of the world's top entertainers including Lollapalooza, Global Gathering, Ultra Music Festival, Austin City Limits Music Festival and concerts featuring Gwen Stefani, REM, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ludacris, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Bob Dylan, Motley Crue, Nelly, and Coldplay. James also provides risk management for some of the world's top athletes including Lance Armstrong and the Discovery Channel Cycling Team.

In March of 2000, James was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukemia. His doctors gave him a 50% chance of survival but after three rounds of intense chemotherapy, radiation and a bone marrow transplant from a German donor, James came back healthier and stronger and ready to join the battle in helping those who helped him.

James devotes a great deal of his time to "the cause" - providing patients in need with the same opportunity that he had: access to quality doctors and funding for treatments and medications.  He has brought attention to the issue with appearances on ABC and Fox News, highly unusual forums such as The Howard Stern Radio and TV show as well as being a noted speaker for Leukemia and Bone Marrow Foundations Worldwide.
