Musical Careers have always been difficult to achieve and only the dreamers dare to put their livelihood for it. Sujil Karmacharya is one of them. He is a Hydropower engineer and a dreamer too who thought of building his career out of his hobby i.e. singing rather than from his qualification as an engineer. His passion and hard work for music paid him from the initial phase. Today he is considered as one the multitalented artist in the Music Arena including a Model and an Arranger. Tell us about your journey in the music field?

I joined to form a band in 2050 B.S and finally, it was formed in 2052 B.S. This way my journey in the music field started.

What difference do you see in the music field today in comparison to the past?

I see lots of difference. Technology is one thing that has rocket the quality in the music field, digital recording is a prime component of advancement in technology. The other difference is that the human resources fueling the need of the industry are musically trained.

When did you think of becoming an arranger?

I got my experience in arranging songs from my first album which I did in Alpha. It helped me to provide some experience.  Later I did arranging for my 3rd album which became very successful. This motivated me and professionally I started my career as an arranger only from 2064.

Till today how many songs have you arranged?

Till today I have arranged around 10 – 15 songs. The songs that gave me real satisfaction were Sajhma of Mohit Munal, Title Song of School (Paathsala) of Sugam Pokhrel and title track of Mission Paisa.

Are you going to give continuity to this profession or shift your profession as an engineer?

Though I am an engineer by qualification, my hearts will always beat for Music. I think my passion for music will never let me depart from this field so I will definitely give continuity to this profession.
