Enjoy acoustic musical performances and extraordinary views throughout the hike with special performances by our founder and 2-time Leukemia survivor Mike Peters of The Alarm and Big Country with Brett Dennen, Cy Curnin of the Fixx, School of Rock and many more to be announced!!!!
Your participation in the second annual Vail Rocks event will help benefit the Love Hope Strength Foundation – SAVING LIVES, ONE CONCERT AT A TIME!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
FRIDAY, JUNE 14
5:00 – 9:00 PM: Early bird check-in. Lobby of The Sebastian Hotel – Vail. Pick up you gift bag and be ahead of the game!
6:00-7:00 PM: Sparkle and Pop. All Sebastian Hotel guests are invited to join fellow hotel guests and staff for Sparkle and Pop – Free champagne and popcorn in the lobby. Another great reason that The Sebastian is the best hotel on Earth!
7:00 – 9:00 PM: Welcome reception hosted by Vail’s own Ryan and Trista Sutter! Join us for music, cocktails and appetizers with participating artists and sponsors and our special hosts, Ryan and Trista, who will welcome you to their home town! Ticketed event, additional fee required.
SATURDAY, JUNE 15
7:00 AM: Registration and Check-in: at the base of Vail Village gondola. (please note that participation is limited. online registration is strongly encouraged)
8:00 AM: The Hike: First acoustic performance and hike begins. The hike is about 3-4 miles. The hike will take us from Base: 8,120 ft (2,470 m) to Summit: 11,570 ft (3,530 m) with acoustic performances along the way. The gondola will be available for our return down to the village after lunch and music at the peak. Registered participants only.
5:00 PM: Post Party Concert: featuring School of Rock with Mike Peters, Brett Dennen, Cy Curnin and special guests. Solaris, Vail Village. Food and drink available for purchase. Open to the public. Free admission.
SUNDAY, JUNE 16
10:00AM – 3:30PM: The Vail Farmers Market kicks off for the season today! We encourage you to stay the day and enjoy the local farmers, artisans and music in the streets of Vail.

ENTRY FEE
THE WELCOME RECEPTION: $189 per person. This event is limited. Entry fee includes live music, drinks and appetizers with our special guests. Entry fee does NOT include registration for the hike.
THE HIKE: $89 per person by JUNE 1: $99 per person after June 1 or walk up. Entry fee includes participation in the acoustic hike up Vail mountain, event t-shirt, snacks, water, lunch at summit and live music throughout the hike and at the post party. Please note: Gifts supplies are limited. Please register by June 1 to ensure your gift bag. Walk up registration welcome. Walk up registration fee is $99.
THE POST PARTY: FREE and open to the public!!!
FUNDRAISING
Your entry fee covers the cost of your participation in Vail Rocks. It is your fundraising efforts that make the real difference in helping Love Hope Strength save lives, one concert at a time. You will be given a dedicated fundraising page that you may customize however you like! Here, you can let your friends know that you are taking on the challenge to climb Vail Mountain in the name of global cancer care. Your fundraising efforts will support our GET ON THE LIST campaign to register more marrow donors at concerts and event around the country. Over 30,000 marrow donors have been registered resulting in over 500 potentially life-saving matches including several from Vail Rocks 2012! Additionally, you will be supporting our global programs like the recently opened Love Hope Strength children’s cancer wards in Tanzania. Hundreds of children are now being properly diagnosed and given early treatment thanks to supporters like you.
FUNDRAISING GOALS
An $89 registration fee is required. No additional donation is required but we do encourage you to raise what you can!
$100 pledge: Set your goal upon raising an additional $100 in donations and receive a 1-year subscription to Backpacker Magazine.
$500 pledge: Raise the bar to $500 in donations and receive a 2-year subscription to Backpacker Magazine and VIP credentials at the Post Concert celebration.
$1,000 pledge: Raise a grand and receive a 2-yr subscription to Backpacker Magazine, VIP credentials to the Post Concert and a select pair of Smith sunglasses!
$10,000 pledge. Raise $10,000 in donations and receive the ultimate in rockstar status plus one luxury hotel room at The Sebastian – Vail for 3 nights, invitation to the private Welcome reception Friday night for you and a guest, VIP access to the Post Party for you and a guest, a 2-year subscription to Backpacker Magazine, a pair of Smith Sunglasses, a Marmot jacket, and an autographed Epiphone guitar (because you never know when we may need you to take the stage and play!)
Top fundraiser! The individual who raises the most money will get a gear package (valued at $500) provided by Backpacker Magazine and a hike on the Vail Rocks weekend hosted by the editors of Backpacker!
*Love Hope Strength is a registered 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible. Although you can continue fundraising for Love Hope Strength long after this event is complete, all donations that will be counted towards your fundraising goals must be received by June 1, 2013. Any donations received after June 1 will not be attributed towards any fundraising goals in order for LHS to order supplies and make arrangements necessary. Sorry no exceptions.
