When people experience loss it changes them, for Chris Coffman it is how he came to Love Hope Strength and what fuels his passion. While managing a multi-million dollar portfolio of nine restaurants his life took a traumatic change when his little sister Dani, age 27, was tragically killed in a car accident then just two short months later his Mother Tammy, age 54, passed away from Chronic Myeloid Leukemia.
These events back to back caused him to pause and look at life where he discovered he was working too many 90+ hour weeks and wasn’t living enough of his life, he left the Restaurant Business shortly after. Chris then spent 3 months on the road exploring the United States and reconnecting with family, friends and a love of music that had long fell to the wayside. He found Love Hope Strength at FloydFest music festival in Virginia and began volunteering, then took a position on the road, then came in to the offices as Managing Director.
Born in Los Angeles and raised in the Greater Washington D.C. area, he is no stranger to the hustle and bustle of city life, Chris went on to study computer science and marketing, worked in the Information Technology field for many years before making the change to retail management and development, then managed a full service Marina and eventually got hooked on the pace of Restaurant Management until he found his way here.
