Craig D. Cook December 8, 1941- April, 14, 2012 70, of Littleton, passed away on Saturday, April 14th, at The Denver Hospice after a three year battle against cancer. He was surrounded by his family & loved ones in his final days. Craig was born in Portland, Oregon on December 8, 1941 to Ellis & Vivian Cook. He graduated from Grant High School in Portland in 1959, and later went on to work in sales in the trucking industry for over 30 years, which moved him to Colorado in 1986. In his earlier years Craig loved camping, boating, hunting, clam digging on the Oregon coast & especially salmon fishing on the Columbia River and in the Pacific. Later in life his passions turned to shooting pictures (rather than ducks!), spending time with his grandchildren and grandpuppies, reading and watching the Denver Broncos and other local sports. Survived by sisters Petie Newby and Candace Nelson, loving former wife Valerie (Bloyd), daughter Kaley Kunz (husband Doug), son Kyle (wife Stephanie), grandchildren Sydney and Cade Kunz, and grandpuppies Cooper Kunz and Ginger Cook. He is preceded in death by his 5 beloved Golden Retrievers (Pandy, Buffy, Aspen, Sadie & Lucy) Memorial bbq for family and friends, Saturday, April 21, 2-5 pm City Park, picnic site 2 (between the tennis courts and playground) If you would like to make a donation on Craig's behalf, his family suggests making donations to www.lovehopestrength.org, a non-profit Craig was a supporter of and very touched by their concern and support for him during his battle against cancer.
