Over $1.5m has been raised in the name of Love Hope Strength (LHS) through the years thanks to people, families and Foundations, community groups and companies choosing to donate, fundraise or give grants to support LHS’ mission.

Supporters have chosen to give one-off donations to give back following their own cancer treatment, others choose to give regularly. Some choose to give to a specific LHS program, others want to support the greatest priorities and don’t restrict their gift. People give to LHS in different ways:

  • By remembering LHS in their Will, to leave a legacy that touch families for generations to come
  • By holding a collection in memory of a loved one
  • By organising or taking part in a fundraising activity
  • By setting up a regular donation through their bank
  • By selecting Love Hope Strength as their organisation’s Charity of the Year
  • By taking part in an LHS hike*

*All international ‘Rocks’ trek participants are expected to donate or fundraise the whole cost of the challenge expedition and an additional donation which supports LHS’ charitable activities in advance of the trek. The donation is usually approximately 50% of the total participant fee, so if a trek is $2,000, the trek fee that LHS pays to the Challenge provider is ordinarily approximately $1,000, and the donation expected from the Trekker is $1,000. Most trekkers choose to fund their trek themselves and fundraise for the donation, and many raise far more than the expected target.
