“The day I received my Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) from Prince Charles, now King Charles, in 2019 for services to charity was certainly very special. I was given the accolade, but as I said at the time, the MBE really stood for ‘Multiple Brilliant Efforts’.
When I accepted the award I did so on behalf of everything that has collectively been achieved by volunteers, musicians, clinicians and everyone who has supported our mission since we established LHS in 2007. I felt immensely proud not of my own achievement, but of those of everyone who has been by my side. It’s an honour and a privilege to do what we do alongside such incredibly dedicated, resourceful, professional and optimistic people.”
Mike Peters, LHS Co-Founder
