How to save a life – Milkshake

Tune In

With Coachella in the spring, Lollapalooza in the summer and Austin City Limits in the fall, there’s no shortage of good music to hear performed live under the setting sun. Capitalizing on the kindness of music lovers everywhere, a group called Love Hope Strength travels around to music festivals and other large events to take cheek swabs from fans who want to put themselves on the international bone marrow donor list, placing themselves in a position to save lives.

Turn On

The music-centric cancer charity was founded by an entertainment industry insider and a musician who’d survived leukemia. Today, it harnesses the power of music to bring life-saving resources to those who need them.

To get involved, visit Love Hope Strength’s “Get On the List” page and learn more about how you can help, either as a concertgoer, a volunteer or a contributor. You can also help save lives by buying a Love Hope Strength cuff and spread the word in the process.

Rock Out

To find out if Love Hope Strength will be coming to a stage near you, check the group’s events page for upcoming dates.

(Because potentially saving lives while riding a wave of good music?  If that’s not rock & roll, we don’t know what is.)
